Deno G. Lepas, 58, of Ventura, Calif., died Oct. 7
at UCLA Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 20, 1944, in Cheyenne to George
and Nikie Lepas.
He attended the Cheyenne school system. He graduated
from the University of Wyoming and later completed his
master's degree in education. In 1968 he moved to Ventura
and was employed by the Ojai Unified School District for 35
years, teaching at Nordhoff High school.
He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of
Elks No. 1430, the Ventura Chapter of the Order of Ahepa
District No. 20, and was a founding member of St. Demetrios
Orthodox Church in Camarillo, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Lepas of Ventura; children,
Stephanie, George and Emily; and sisters, Anna
Barker of Cheyenne and Elaine Jimas of Littleton, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Lepas.
His mother, Nikie Lepas of Cheyenne, passed in late 2002.
Mr. Lepas enjoyed spending time with his family.
Funeral services were held at at St. Demetrios
Orthodox Church in Camarillo, Calif., with the Rev.
Cyril Loeb officiating. Burial followed at Ivy Lawn Memorial
Park.
