Joan Louise CLOYD Parrill, 60, of Longmont, Colorado, died September 16, 2005 at the Hospice Care Center in Louisville, Colorado.
She was born June 15, 1945, in San Mateo, California to Raymond and Hazel (McCann) Cloyd. The family moved to Cheyenne when she was an infant.
Joan graduated from Cheyenne's East High in 1963. She later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics from the University of Wyoming.
She married Arlan Parrill on July 8, 1967, in Cheyenne. The couple moved to Boulder, Colorado and then to Longmont. The couple had three children.
Mrs. Parrill worked at both Hobby Lobby and Cloth World in Longmont.
She was a member of the Home Economists in Homemaking club. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, making crafts and baking.
Joan is survived by her parents Raymond and Hazel Cloyd of Cheyenne; her son Justin and his wife, Brenda, of Longmont; daughters Yvonne Wright and her husband, Ricky, and Arlana Parrill, all of Longmont; two grandchildren Kristina and Krystle Wright; two brothers Bill Cloyd and his wife Vicky of LaPorte, Texas and Ronald Cloyd and his wife Joanne of Eugene, Oregon.
She is preceded in death by her husband. Arlan died in 1976.
She died after two long fights with cancer.
The funeral service were held at Howe Mortuary in Longmont. The Rev. Jim Johnston officiated. Interment in Lander.
